Hiring a Caregiver

If you are currently offering a caregiver job opening, be sure to include a brief caregiver job description in your advertisement to ensure that those who come seek caregiver job hiring are qualified and aware of the prospective caregiver duties involved.

If you seek a nanny caregiver, describe the number of children, how much bathing and feeding they require, etc. If you seek a caregiver for an Alzheimer's patient, describe how far into dementia the elderly person has fallen, etc.

Once you have a few candidates in mind, review their caregiver resumes to check that they have undergone the proper caregiver training, including specialized caregiver school. Provide them with a caregiver form so they can recount specific skills they have gleaned during their caregiver programs.
