Caregiver Training
Caregiver training ranges from 18 hour sessions for the family to understand Alzheimer's disease to several semesters spent at an accredited caregiver school to become a professional caregiver such as an in home caregiver nurse for a cancer patient. To receive a caregiver certificate, one must enroll in a series of caregiver programs at a specialized caregiver school.
Promising caregiver trainees receive caregiver grants to help put them through an accredited caregiver school.
Depending on the breadth of knowledge you hope to glean and where you plan to situate yourself, the type of caregiver training will vary in length and comprehensiveness.
